Discover Dual Type Pokémon Weaknesses with WeakDex.com

I’m excited to announce the launch of my newest project, WeakDex.com. As an ardent Pokémon trainer, I’ve always felt the need for a comprehensive tool to calculate Pokémon weaknesses, especially for Gen 6 and beyond. I found that many existing platforms didn’t support an easy dual type weakness calculation, and that’s why I created WeakDex. This platform is more than just a tool – it’s a labor of love from one Pokémon enthusiast to another. I truly believe that whether you’re searching for a specific Pokémon or exploring the intricacies of single or dual types, WeakDex will become your new favorite companion on your journey as a Pokémon trainer..

Behind the scenes of WeakDex’s sleek interface, there’s a robust Python backend working together with NiceGui, Quasar, and Tailwind CSS. These technologies were deliberately chosen to ensure the site is as responsive, reliable, and user-friendly as possible. As a creator, I was determined to build a tool that not only serves a functional purpose but also offers a satisfying user experience.

One of the features I’m most proud of is the dynamic design elements that change based on your type or Pokémon selection. It adds a touch of personalization and makes the interaction even more engaging. You can search for virtually any Pokémon to date, and you’ll be presented with a comprehensive analysis of their type’s weakness, resistance, whether moves have normal effect or no effect. It’s a quick and easy way to get the insights you need before heading into a battle.

However, please note that WeakDex does not cover Pokémon, items, or special abilities that affect their types, resistances, and immunities. The primary focus of the tool is to deliver a basic understanding of the type dynamics to aid in your battle strategies.

In designing WeakDex, I also kept a keen eye on aesthetics. The website sports a minimalistic design, providing a clean layout that’s easy on the eyes and straightforward to navigate. Information is presented clearly, without any clutter, so you can focus on what matters the most – planning your next Pokémon battle.

The journey to creating WeakDex was fueled by my love for Pokémon and a desire to contribute something valuable to the community. I hope you find it as useful and fun to use as I found it creating. Happy strategizing!

The Infinite Forbidden Set Stats

Yu-Gi-Oh! The Infinite Forbidden launched in the TCG on July 19, 2024. I’ve been excited for this set since its announcement because of the nostalgia-bait of Exodia. As a core set, it’s full of new cards, strategies, and archetypes. The highly anticipated Fiendsmith makes its TCG debut just in time for the Yu-Gi-Oh! NAWCQ. Exodia, White Forest, and Gimmick Puppet get support, and a new TCG-exclusive archetype called Mimighoul makes its debut.

The haptic feedback in Beat Saber just stopped working. I knew it wasn’t the controller since vibrations were working outside of Steam or Beat Saber. I didn’t realize how much the haptic feedback contributed to VR immersion, but wow, did I miss it.
